Senior🎓
Top SchoolMaarten Van Ittersum is a Solution Architect at Scania’s Smart Factory Lab with 11 years of software engineering experience, specializing in IIoT, Unified Namespace design, and shopfloor connectivity to drive practical digital transformation. He combines hands-on development background—from front-end React/React Native and Java/Spring back-ends to DevOps and database work—with systems-level thinking to make manufacturing data simple, accessible, and actionable. Based in Stockholm as a Dutch engineer in Sweden, he moved from maintaining auction platforms and leading mobile/web projects to architecting industrial data flows and automation at scale. Maarten’s MSc in Computing Science and a minor in Entrepreneurship underpin a pragmatic approach that values reducing technical debt and shipping reliable, maintainable solutions. An unusual asset: he pairs engineering rigor with real-world operations experience (ranging from motorsports electrical work to hospitality under pressure), which helps him design robust systems that fit how people actually work.
