Senior🎓
Top SchoolMaciej Szumocki is a senior backend engineer and consultant based in Greater Poland with a 5+ year recent track record of building production services across Python, Scala, C#, C++ and cloud infrastructure. He has moved between startups and product teams—roles at Shapespark, ITV, PandaDoc and TIER—shipping backend systems, ML services and Kubernetes-powered deployments while also working with Terraform, AWS Lambda and Step Functions. Prior leadership as Head of Engineering and Head of Software Development gives him hands-on management experience alongside deep technical execution. He advises startups and acts as an angel investor, bringing product-minded decision making to engineering tradeoffs. Comfortable spanning low-level language work and cloud-native architectures, he blends pragmatic delivery with an appetite for systems-level problem solving. An early career in Delphi/.NET and long-running involvement in diverse stacks contributes to an unusually broad toolset for solving backend and infrastructure challenges.
