Top SchoolMager Mager is a Staff Software Engineer in Chicago with 16 years of experience building developer-focused platforms and scalable logistics systems, currently shaping Uber Direct and accelerating AI developer velocity. He is deeply hands-on across Golang, Elixir, React, GraphQL and systems work—equally comfortable shipping backend microservices, developer tools, and consumer-facing merchant features. A longtime advocate for developer experience, documentation, and tooling, he has bridged product, BD, and engineering throughout roles at Postmates and Uber, and previously as a developer evangelist for platforms like Spotify and SmartThings. Mager contributes to open source and spends weekends building an AI-powered app called Beatbrain, reflecting a persistent appetite for side projects that inform his day job. His background in developer advocacy gives him a rare ability to translate partner needs into shipping APIs and SDKs that delight integrators. Outside work he’s often debugging features with his wife and dog in Chicago—equally pragmatic and curious in code and life.
