Magnus Homann is an ASIC/FPGA expert with over 13 years of hands-on experience designing mixed-signal and high-speed packet-processing hardware, from PCB requirement specs to state-of-the-art CPU and FPGA boards. He is highly proficient with Cadence mixed-mode simulation, SystemVerilog testbenches, and Xilinx toolchains, and has embedded processor experience with MicroBlaze and PicoBlaze. Magnus has delivered ASIC/FPGA and low-level software work across consulting roles (including extended engagements at Fingerprint Cards) and runs his own consultancy, Homann Elektronik, combining design, teaching and advanced board bring-up. He also writes Linux device drivers and test software in C, Qt/C++ and scripting for hardware verification, and has served as a Xilinx trainer across the Nordics. Outside work he manages his own forest and competes internationally in orienteering, a hobby that reflects his precision and systems-oriented thinking.
