Top SchoolMaher Santina is a Senior iOS Engineer based in New South Wales with eight years of hands-on experience building and leading mobile teams across consumer and enterprise apps. He has progressed from backend web development and teaching into senior mobile roles, recently driving iOS delivery at Gumtree Group after four years of senior engineering at WooliesX. Known for treating "code as a liability, not an asset," he emphasizes maintainability, refactoring legacy code, and pragmatic product-focused engineering. Maher has led feature discovery, sprint ceremonies and cross-functional delivery, translating stakeholder needs into ticketed work and reliable releases. He is active in the open-source iOS community and brings a background in computer engineering (Master’s) that underpins a practical, systems-oriented approach to mobile architecture. A less obvious strength: he combines hands-on coding with mentorship and process ownership, routinely onboarding teams to shipping quality under tight timelines.
