Senior🎓
Top SchoolMaja Založnik is a Full Stack Data Wrangler with 11 years of experience transforming academic rigor into production-ready data systems, currently building databases, pipelines, reproducible analyses and visual reporting at Slovenia’s Urad RS za makroekonomske analize in razvoj. Trained as a demographer with a PhD from the University of Liverpool, she blends population science and statistical thinking with hands-on engineering—comfortable from research postdoc work at Oxford to freelance analytics and government-scale data operations. She has a habit of taking end-to-end ownership (she describes herself as analyst, engineer and janitor), ensuring work is auditable and pipelines are resilient. Known for pragmatic reproducibility and clear visualisation, she pairs deep domain knowledge with a curious, slightly irreverent voice (her GitHub bio: "i am like a bad analogy"), which signals a creative approach to problem solving.
