Top SchoolMaksim Piatyshev is a seasoned engineering leader and founder with over a decade of hands-on experience building scalable backends and cloud-native platforms across e-commerce and FinTech. As Head of Engineering and former Founder & CTO at Wectory, he architected a Google Cloud-based property-tech platform that onboarded 1,200+ landlords and handled hundreds of daily transactions while establishing CI/CD, GraphQL APIs, and a 10-person delivery team. His background includes leading BNPL and loan management systems at Home Credit using DDD, microservices, FastAPI and Kafka, consistently turning business goals into pragmatic, measurable engineering outcomes. Comfortable both designing architectures and shipping code, he has delivered high-throughput systems (1.5M daily users) and coached cross-functional teams in best practices like code review and testing. Based in Almaty/Serbia, Maksim combines operational systems knowledge from his early sysadmin days with modern Python ecosystems (Django, FastAPI, PostgreSQL) to reduce time-to-market and improve reliability.
