Top SchoolMaksym Lisogorskyi is a Senior Observability Engineer with 10 years of experience combining software development, data analysis and scientific rigour to build and operate large-scale observability platforms. Based in Edinburgh, he has driven migrations to OpenTelemetry, managed hybrid Splunk estates ingesting terabytes per day, and automated CI/CD and GitOps workflows using Terraform, Ansible, Chef and Jenkins. Comfortable in both planned delivery and on-call incident response, he optimises data collection to reduce cost and implements bespoke tools (often in Python) to analyse usage and migrate large volumes of data. His PhD background in astronomy informs a precision-first approach to instrumentation and measurement, enabling him to translate complex telemetry requirements into practical, low-overhead solutions.
