Top SchoolMaksym Mykhailenko is a technical lead and senior backend engineer with 13 years of professional experience and 7+ years leading teams to deliver resilient, high-performance web and blockchain products. He architects and ships microservice systems combining Node.js, Nest.js, Go, PostgreSQL and Redis with EVM Solidity smart contracts, and has driven performance improvements that cut incidents from monthly to annual. Comfortable across front-end and back-end stacks, he’s contributed UI refinements to well-known projects like Topcoder’s community app while also designing scalable backend services using Kafka, Elasticsearch and MongoDB. Known for pragmatic ownership, he balances rapid two-week delivery cycles with planned tech-debt reduction and security analysis of on-chain/off-chain interactions. A former mobile 3D team lead who introduced CI/CD and memory-optimization practices, he brings deep systems thinking from applied mathematics to product-facing engineering. Based in Ukraine, he pairs client-facing planning skills with hands-on implementation and code review rigor.
