Senior🎓
Top SchoolMalcolm Matalka is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure, distributed systems, and bioinformatics tooling. As co-founder of Stategraph (formerly Terrateam) and a founding member of OpenTofu, he helps teams automate and scale infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu while removing the operational friction of infrastructure as code. His background spans large-scale storage at Spotify, bioinformatics and genome analysis tools from Johns Hopkins–rooted research, and aerospace software for satellite communications at Cosmo Labs AB. Comfortable bridging research and production, he brings deep systems-level engineering plus a rare combination of domain expertise in aerospace and computational biology. Based in Amsterdam, he pairs hands-on technical leadership with a founder’s drive to ship pragmatic, reliable tooling for developers and organizations.
