Top SchoolMandy Lu is an ML engineer and founder with 11 years of experience building AI systems for climate-resilient agriculture and humanitarian aid. Based in Palo Alto, she led research and product work at Google Research—shipping generative AI features in Google Scholar and building predictive models and pipelines that influenced large-scale search and medical-labeling workflows. She now founders two ventures through StartX and a stealth startup while conducting research on an agricultural foundation model to accelerate breeding for climate-adapted crops and early forecasting tools for aid distribution. Her background spans Stanford research labs, industry internships at Apple and NVIDIA, and teaching core CS and ML courses, giving her rare depth across research, productization, and education. Notably, she combines hands-on TFX/ML systems engineering with domain impact in agriculture and humanitarian forecasting, aiming to scale AI for global social good.
