Top SchoolManuel Alonso is a senior engineer based in Madrid with 14 years building scalable distributed systems and platform infrastructure across startups and cloud providers. He specializes in Golang, Java and Clojure and focuses on platform engineering—Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform—and observability to keep multi-region services reliable and self-healing. A pragmatic proponent of clean code, testing and XP practices, he designs systems so components can be easily replaced or removed as needs evolve. He’s an experienced remote collaborator who values asynchronous communication, documentation and teaching, often sharing knowledge via open source and clear RFCs/guides. Notably, Manuel’s recent work spans custom Kubernetes operators and Database-as-a-Service platform tooling, combining deep engineering with operational on-call improvements.
