Top SchoolManuel Kanah is a pragmatic engineering executive with 12+ years of hands-on experience building and scaling cloud-native platforms, now serving as VP of Engineering in London. He combines a founder’s mindset from a decade running a popular consumer site (TombolaGratis) with deep technical chops in migrations, AWS, containerization, data lakes/warehouses and cost-optimised architectures. Manuel has led large infrastructure modernisations—moving monoliths to microservices, EC2 to Docker, and NoSQL to Aurora—while driving automation and high-throughput analytics for products operating at millions of requests per minute. Known for empathetic leadership, he focuses on talent development, operational reliability and aligning engineering work tightly to business outcomes. An architect-turned-leader with an architecture background from Politecnico di Milano, he brings an unusual blend of design thinking and production-grade execution.
