Top SchoolManuel Kießling is a pragmatic software architect and contractor with 15 years of experience building resilient platforms, leading engineering teams, and operating Linux/AWS infrastructure. He blends test-driven and domain-driven design practices with hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code and database administration to deliver maintainable systems across e-commerce and SaaS domains. As former CTO and Head of Technical Platform, he has steered product and ops strategy at companies like MyHammer, MeinAuto and Galeria Kaufhof, and today balances executive leadership with day-to-day engineering and consulting. An avid open-source user, contributor and tech-book author, Manuel is deliberate about learning and often translates complex operational concerns into clear developer tooling. Currently evaluating and building AI tooling at Mercor while still serving as JOBOO!'s CTO, he pairs strategic vision with practical implementation. Based in Wesel, Germany, he’s also a father of two—bringing the patience and priorities of real-world systems to team leadership.
