Summary
👤
SeniorMarc Melvin is a seasoned engineering leader and hands-on technologist with over 20 years of experience building custom web, mobile, and desktop solutions and running scalable backend infrastructure. As Vice President of Engineering at SmartProcure, he architects ELT data pipelines, manages cloud platforms, and is the team’s go-to expert on ElasticSearch and Docker. Equally comfortable writing Node.js, Python, C#, C++ or mobile native code, he pairs broad full‑stack fluency with deep ops knowledge across AWS/GCE/Azure, container orchestration, and logging/metrics stacks. A long-term consultant and founder of Bytescape, he favors small, expert teams and thrives on solving integration challenges between modern APIs and legacy systems. Outside of work he obsessively reverse-engineers how things work—fueling a rare mix of pragmatic delivery and technical curiosity.
