🤩
RockstarMarc Selwan is a Senior Product Manager with 11 years of experience specializing in data infrastructure and distributed systems, currently building an Apache Iceberg-based R2 Data Catalog and query platform at Cloudflare. He has led product efforts at Confluent and DataStax, bringing deep domain knowledge in Cassandra, Kafka, Iceberg/Delta Lake, Spark, graph databases, and multi-cloud storage engines. Known for bridging hands-on technical fluency with product strategy, he translates complex storage and query primitives into usable, scalable platforms for developers and enterprises. Based in Elk Grove, CA, Marc pairs a technical background in digital engineering with long-standing practical experience in Linux and scripting, and outside work he channels analytical creativity through two decades of music theory and guitar. An uncommon strength is his combination of solutions-engineering roots and product leadership, which helps him rapidly validate features against real-world operational constraints.
