Top SchoolMarc Vaillant is a Technical Staff engineer with 15 years of experience applying applied mathematics and differential geometry to practical computer vision and time-series problems. He has led R&D-to-production efforts in biometrics and medical imaging—most notably as CTO at Animetrics where he built cross-platform SDKs, RESTful APIs, and 3D face reconstruction pipelines. Currently at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, he focuses on advanced image analysis and deep learning implementations using C++, Python, PyTorch/LibTorch and Matlab, bridging research rigor with enterprise deployment. Marc’s background (BS/MSE/PhD from Johns Hopkins) gives him a rare depth in both theory and systems engineering, enabling robust algorithm design that scales. He’s comfortable shipping everything from low-level performance code to cloud-facing services, and often translates geometric insight into practical, production-ready solutions.
