Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMarcel Castro is a versatile software developer based in Miami with seven years of hands-on experience building responsive, production-ready web applications. He specializes in React, Next.js and full-stack integrations with MongoDB, but retains strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript that make his front-end work robust and accessible. Marcel has delivered projects for small businesses and agencies—from custom Shopify themes and headless CMS integrations to a Next.js portal leveraging Twilio for centralized lead outreach—demonstrating an ability to translate client needs into maintainable solutions. He’s comfortable across environments, having worked in agencies, startups, and as a freelancer, and has automated internal workflows using Azure Functions and Microsoft Power Automate. A Florida International University computer science graduate, Marcel pairs technical execution with direct collaboration with designers and stakeholders to ship performant, user-centered products. Less obvious: he combines tutoring experience with engineering work, which sharpens his ability to explain technical choices and mentor non-technical clients.
