Top SchoolMarcel Corso is a Senior Engineering Manager based in Amsterdam with 16 years of hands-on experience building and scaling engineering teams and data systems. He started and grew Bird’s Data Engineering team, shipping production data pipelines and the company’s first commercially impactful ML model while later managing multiple product teams simultaneously. Equally comfortable in Go, PHP and modern data stacks (ClickHouse, BigQuery, Beam), Marcel blends deep technical craftsmanship from his founder/CTO days with pragmatic leadership across distributed, diverse teams. He has led high-stakes integrations and acquisitions, navigated complex product transformations, and run large-scale onboarding programs that shaped engineering culture. A developer at heart with a penchant for music-tech roots, he brings entrepreneurial curiosity and stamina — sangue de barata — to solve thorny technical and organizational challenges.
