Top SchoolMarcel Dos Santos is a tech lead and seasoned web developer based in São Paulo with 13 years of experience building full-stack PHP and JavaScript applications. Formed in Information Systems at USP, he led engineering efforts at Editora Três and currently heads technical initiatives at Loop Brasil while freelancing as an instructor and conference speaker. A long-time community builder—ex-organizer of FEMUG-SP and decade-long community manager for PHPSP—he has curated and presented at major Brazilian tech events, impacting thousands of developers. Enthusiastic about functional programming, Marcel is an active learner of Haskell and Elm, advocates for DDD and architecture, and is a committed supporter of open source. Less obvious: he combines hands-on coding with event curation and education, making him as comfortable shipping production systems as he is shaping developer communities.
