Top SchoolMarcel Hecko is a veteran technology entrepreneur and CEO with 14 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying metropolitan wireless networks, IoT products, and mission-critical monitoring platforms. Based in Bratislava, he blends hardware and software expertise across WiFi/WLAN, embedded systems (Arduino, nRF51, AVR, ARM), Linux networking, and automation tooling such as Zabbix, Icinga and Puppet. He has founded and led companies from field-deployed 5 GHz/2.4 GHz wireless infrastructures to commercial IoT productization, bringing product-design rigor from an MDes in Industrial and Product Design to technical delivery. Marcel’s background spans low-level C and embedded work to higher-level scripting in Python, Perl and PHP, enabling end-to-end system ownership from sensor to cloud. Known for pragmatic engineering and operational reliability, he often pairs network architecture with bespoke monitoring and automation to keep large-scale deployments running. An uncommon combination of industrial design training and deep network/embedded chops gives him a practical edge in turning complex connectivity ideas into robust, deployable products.
