Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcel Kohls is an experienced engineering team lead and backend software engineer with over two decades of hands-on development across startups and enterprise projects, now leading backend efforts at Nord Security. He specializes in building reliable, scalable systems (notably in Go and microservices/gRPC architectures) and has a strong track record of improving API performance, test speed, and service decomposition. Marcel blends technical rigor—mentoring on SOLID and testing—with entrepreneurial experience from founding multiple startups and co-founding teams that shipped e‑commerce and ERP solutions. He values creating collaborative, enjoyable teams that stay productive under pressure and has repeatedly driven legacy migrations and integrations at scale. Based in Santa Catarina, Brazil, he pairs practical operations experience (Docker, Kafka, databases) with a curiosity for new approaches and a knack for reducing complexity in large systems.
