Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcelo Bortolini is a Lead Pipeline Architect based in Madrid with over a decade of hands-on experience building and stabilizing VFX and animation pipelines for studios like Skydance Animation and Mackevision. He combines deep technical artistry—as a Pipeline TD/Technical Artist and former Nuke compositor—with leadership in pipeline standards, tool development, and cloud-enabled render farm solutions. Marcelo has repeatedly moved teams from ad-hoc workflows to production-grade systems, owning Shotgun integrations, hybrid local/cloud render architectures, and cross-department prioritization of features and bug fixes. His background in front-end development and advertising gives him a rare blend of user-focused tooling sensibility and production-scale engineering rigor. Active in the Visual Effects Society, he stays connected to industry practice while driving robust pipeline automation and artist support.
