Marcelo Eler is an associate professor of Information Systems at the University of São Paulo with over a decade of experience teaching, researching and advising in Software Engineering and Software Testing. He leads research and tool development for automated testing of mobile apps, including detection of runtime failures and violations of accessibility guidelines (WCAG, EMAG, BBC), bridging rigorous research with practical innovation. Marcelo supervises students from undergraduate to doctoral levels, coordinates and vice-coordinates graduate programs, and mentors an outreach group (PET-SI) that runs coding competitions and computer education for public school students. His international collaborations and postdoctoral work (Sheffield) complement a PhD-driven research agenda, while project partnerships with industry demonstrate his ability to translate academic work into applied solutions.
