Marcelo Guimarães
Product Manager - Master at IBM
Brasília, Federal District, Brazil
Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcelo Guimarães is a seasoned product leader and former hands-on engineer with 16 years delivering middleware, OpenShift and cloud-native solutions across Red Hat and IBM. He blends deep technical roots—Java, JBoss, Oracle Middleware and Linux administration—with product strategy, customer advocacy and technical account management, often turning operational pain points into pragmatic product features. Based in Brasília, he has progressed from developer and consultant roles into principal product management, known for solving the trickiest integration and performance issues customers throw at him. Colleagues know him as a “pothole fixer” who pairs a pragmatic, sometimes grumpy sense of humor with a talent for simplifying chaotic systems into reliable workflows. Not obvious from the title: he’s equally comfortable mentoring teams, delivering training, and getting into the weeds of JVM and infrastructure tuning when a production incident demands it.
