Top SchoolMarcelo Koga is a Lead Data Scientist based in São Paulo with 13 years of experience blending software engineering, machine learning and product-focused delivery. With a master's in AI from USP and a history as a co‑founder of an agricultural computer-vision startup, he moves fluidly between low-level C++ image processing and high-level fraud detection systems at scale. At Nubank he designs graph-based and unsupervised approaches to uncover fraud networks, builds automated retraining pipelines, and leads teams to make models and rules fast, scalable and business-ready. Previously he led engineering squads and shipped production systems at Quero Educação and developed safety-critical pilot software at Embraer, giving him a strong emphasis on UX and operational robustness. Curious and hands-on, he combines research-rooted techniques with practical product instincts and cross-functional experience in startups and large enterprises.
