Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcelo Monteiro is a seasoned cloud architect and founder with over three decades of technology experience and a 12-year focus on cloud-native and data infrastructures. He has led SRE and cloud engineering efforts at scale across major Latin American tech companies, driving cost optimisation, Kubernetes platformization, Kafka migrations, and robust observability practices. At OLX Brasil and Nubank he combined hands-on engineering in Clojure/Scala with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and multi-cloud data integration between AWS and GCP. Now based in the Netherlands, he’s founding Fibonsai to apply AI to European financial asset management, bringing both low-latency trading background and enterprise-grade reliability to the startup. Marcelo’s blend of deep ops, identity/IAM, and software development experience — from early virtualization and Linux evangelism to modern GitHub Actions and Rancher-managed EKS fleets — makes him unusually effective at turning complex distributed systems into maintainable platforms. He pairs technical breadth with strategic product sense, often surfacing cost and observability wins that aren’t obvious until systems are scaled.
