Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcelo Vasques is a back-end developer with 11 years of experience specializing in Ruby on Rails and front-end frameworks like Vue.js/Nuxt, currently building backend systems at CAIXA in Brazil. His career spans banking and public-sector tech roles—including BRDE, Banrisul and Portabilis—where he focused on reliable, production-grade services for regulated environments. Trained in Computer Engineering at UFRGS with further Computer Science study at the University of Lincoln, he blends academic research experience (MapReduce, AI, metadata repositories) with pragmatic full-stack product delivery. Notably comfortable in both legacy integrations and modern JS-driven frontends, he brings a rare combination of systems thinking from early distributed systems projects and hands-on Rails craftsmanship.
