Marco
Summary
👤
SeniorMarco Chiappetta is a product-focused engineering leader with 11 years of experience building scalable backend systems and marketplaces, now designing healthcare products at Tether.io in Dubai. Previously he led engineering at Kraken where he built portfolio tracking and a horizontally scalable NFT liquidity engine that cut code size dramatically and enabled novel cross-marketplace purchases. Comfortable shipping across the stack, he has strong backend chops (Python, Django, distributed architectures) and a history of cost-conscious, performance-driven proofs of concept for on-chain marketplaces. A former startup co-founder and university teaching assistant with top academic credentials from Bologna and Sabancı, he combines product instinct with hands-on implementation and team scaling. Less obvious: he repeatedly focuses on reducing operational cost and bloat—projected infrastructure cuts of ~95% in one PoC—while preserving scalability.
