Top SchoolMarco Cipriano is a Ph.D. student at the Hasso Plattner Institute with eight years of experience applying deep learning to multimodal problems, particularly vision-and-language models and vector graphics. His background includes research roles in 3D medical image segmentation and internships focused on generative and semi-supervised models for remote sensing, reflecting a strong applied ML foundation across domains. Trained in computer engineering (Master's with top honors) from Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, he blends rigorous academic training with hands-on model development. Marco’s work sits at the intersection of multimodal representation learning and practical segmentation tasks, and he brings experience moving research prototypes toward domain-specific applications. Colleagues describe him as detail-oriented and curious, with a knack for bridging theoretical ideas and real-world datasets.
