Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarco Di Dionisio is a polyglot Senior Software Engineer based in Amsterdam with 11 years of experience designing and operating large-scale, cloud-native systems across SaaS, fintech, retail and aviation. He specializes in backend architecture, distributed systems and infrastructure-as-code, having built high-throughput, event-driven services at IKEA and architected an AI-driven platform with Go, Python, gRPC and LLM orchestration at Prosus. Comfortable across Java, Golang, Python, C and JavaScript, he prioritizes pragmatic tool choice over dogma and takes full ownership from API design to CI/CD and monitoring. Marco pairs hands-on coding with team leadership—mentoring engineers, running technical reviews and leading cross-team integration projects such as an ACL service bridging legacy on-prem systems to cloud. He also brings embedded and systems experience from early FPGA/MCU research, which informs a pragmatic approach to performance and reliability in both cloud and edge domains. Founder-minded and curious, he continuously explores AI, blockchain and IoT use cases while shipping production-grade software.
