Top SchoolMarco Masera is a Senior Data Engineer and CTO/co-founder with over a decade of hands-on experience transitioning from Java application development for insurance systems to designing and modernizing large-scale Big Data platforms. He has led migrations and performance upgrades across Cloudera and cloud ecosystems—refactoring Spark jobs, implementing Kerberos/Ranger security models, and building scalable ingestion pipelines on Azure and AWS. Marco combines deep operational client-facing experience from his early career with recent roles delivering cloud-native, serverless integration and data-platform components using Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Lambda, and Terraform. Comfortable both as a technical implementer and a strategic leader, he has a track record of turning legacy batch processes into modern, maintainable distributed systems. An often-overlooked strength is his continuity from product maintenance to product development, giving him rare fluency in both functional domain requirements (insurance, power) and low-level performance tuning. Based in Turin, he now focuses on architecting resilient data platforms for enterprise customers while driving growth at his startup.
