Top SchoolMarco Morais is a Senior Staff Software Engineer with 25 years of experience designing and scaling low-latency, high-performance distributed systems for leaders like NVIDIA, AWS, and Yahoo. He specializes in AI/ML inference workloads, cloud infrastructure, real-time data pipelines, and system-level programming in C++, Rust, and Python, and has driven reliability and performance improvements for services supporting hundreds of millions of devices. At AWS he led core IoT services—including OTA Jobs, Fleet Indexing, and Secure Tunneling—and at Verizon built a Golang recommendation system that handled 25k RPS with p99 latencies around 50ms. His background spans startups to hyperscale cloud, from building privacy-aware inference pipelines for connected vehicles to architecting ad and weather backends that sustained millions of queries per day. Collected across aerospace, defense, and commercial AI, his work reflects a rare combination of systems-level rigor and product-focused delivery, and he often shapes long-term strategy through design reviews and incident root-cause analysis. Based in California, he pairs deep technical craft with mentoring and organizational leadership to move complex platforms from prototype to production.
