Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcus Gadbem is a Senior Software Engineer based in Berlin with 12 years of professional experience and over 8 years focused on full-stack development using JavaScript, Ruby, and Elixir. He blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, having led teams, shipped regulated medical products, and introduced architecture practices like RFCs and stewardship models to improve microservice health and delivery. Marcus has driven migrations of critical infrastructure (notably identity provider moves to Auth0) and built reusable microservice patterns, boilerplates, and UI libraries to accelerate time-to-market. He’s equally passionate about user experience and mentorship, coaching engineers to grow while ensuring teams anticipate risks and align with business goals. A fast learner with a background spanning startups to regulated environments, he often marries practical developer tooling with product-focused UX improvements. An underrated strength is his experience converting monoliths to modern stacks (JAMstack, Next.js) while preserving consistency through design systems and Storybook.
