Top SchoolMarcus Garsdal is a Senior MLOps Engineer with eight years of experience building and operating forecasting systems for the energy sector, currently focused on enabling data-driven decarbonization of electricity at Electricity Maps. He specializes in scaling ML lifecycles—designing monitoring and alerting with Grafana/Prometheus, automating retraining pipelines on Dataflow, and delivering large-scale forecast analytics on BigQuery—to manage thousands of models across renewables, load, flows, prices and carbon intensity. Marcus combines hands-on data science and cloud engineering (AWS, GCP, Azure) with product ownership, having led R&D projects for anomaly detection, quality monitoring and customer-facing forecast SLAs that materially reduced costs for TSOs and traders. He founded Homai, presents at sustainability and AI conferences, and brings a curiosity-driven, systems-first approach informed by an academic background in sustainable energy from DTU.
