Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarcus Pimenta is an Android engineer with 13 years of hands-on experience building mobile and Android TV applications, currently contributing to XING from Porto, Portugal. He began developing apps in college, co-founding and engineering Bus-K Fortaleza to centralize public transit data—an early example of product thinking paired with technical ownership. His work spans multimedia, geolocation, tracking, and inspection systems, and he is comfortable across Java, Kotlin and C#/C++ stacks using modern Android tooling (RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit). At XING and Hostelworld he has shipped user-facing features, supported modularization and CI/CD efforts, and improved critical flows like checkout and messaging. Marcus combines embedded-systems roots and teaching experience with a pragmatic, product-focused approach to engineering complex client-server integrations.
