Top SchoolMaria Mateva is a senior software developer with 15 years of experience building and optimizing large-scale, performance-sensitive systems, currently contributing at Redis. She has led core product teams, balancing architecture, delivery and people-focused leadership while driving projects like sharding storage, Lucene upgrades and a Java 8→21 migration with detailed GC performance assessments. Her background blends information retrieval, text mining and ML from a Master's in AI with hands-on experience splitting monoliths into cloud microservices and improving search precision and memory use. Known for pragmatic performance tuning and thoughtful team care, she seeks roles that combine high efficiency engineering with intelligent systems — and brings a quirky "Smoothie Criminal" GitHub handle to the workbench.
