Top SchoolMarijke Stein is a Linux-focused technology leader with over 9 years of documented experience and a deep engineering pedigree dating back to professional roles since 2005. Currently leading the university computing center at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt, she combines operational IT leadership with hands-on software engineering as a long-time senior engineer at Honda Research Institute Europe. A Chaos Computer Club member and lifelong Linux user since 1997, she blends technical rigor with a culture-first approach to "New Work" and collaborative problem solving. Trained as a Diplom-Informatikerin (FH) from Hochschule Merseburg, she brings a strong systems and infrastructure background to academia-facing IT. Outside work she is an accomplished musician, which informs her collaborative leadership style and attention to creative workflows. Known for steady long-term contributions rather than flashy public open-source visibility, she excels at reliable, maintainable systems and cross-disciplinary coordination.
