Top SchoolMarina Barannikov is Head of Research with seven years' experience building and deploying generative AI systems at the intersection of art and language from Paris. Currently leading research at Unaite after an ML & robotics internship at Hugging Face, she combines hands-on model engineering with production-focused optimization techniques like FSDP, low-precision training and LoRA for diffusion models. As a freelance ML engineer she has fine-tuned open-source LLMs, built chatbots and image APIs, and explored U-Net and diffusion architectures for product rendering and advertising. A Dauphine-PSL student in applied mathematics and computer science, she brings strong theoretical foundations to practical transfer-learning and parallelization challenges. Marina’s work reflects an unusual blend of creative AI applications and systems-level efficiency improvements, making models both expressive and cost-effective. She maintains an academic presence through publications visible on Google Scholar, signaling a research-driven approach to applied ML.
