Senior🎓
Top SchoolMarina Hoashi is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience building React and React Native applications, specializing in GraphQL-driven frontends for health-tech products. She transitioned from bioinformatics research—where she co-authored microbiome and genomics publications—to software, bringing strong data-analysis instincts to product-focused engineering. At Thirty Madison she delivered full-stack features that expanded prescribing workflows and led a NestJS microservice powering chart notes for tens of thousands of patients, directly influencing cost savings and provider workflow. Comfortable across TypeScript, Apollo, Ruby on Rails, and AWS, Marina pairs close collaboration with design and product teams with hands-on ownership of features and services. She’s actively learning testing and backend frameworks like Cypress and NestJS, and has notable experience translating lab experiments into production-grade mobile tasks used in clinical studies. Her background in scientific research gives her a pragmatic, metrics-driven approach to building reliable healthcare software.
