Senior🎓
Top SchoolMario Varona is an iOS engineer with nine years of experience building production-grade mobile apps and platform integrations across Spain and internationally. He has led end-to-end iOS work from native apps to networking and device management, shipping privacy- and security-focused features such as VPN/packet-tunnel monitoring, TLS inspection, and MDM for parental-control products. Mario has driven migrations from Objective-C/UIKit to Swift/SwiftUI, championed test-first practices and clean architecture, and stepped into interim engineering management to improve DevEx, DORA metrics and team ownership. He also co-created a successful multimodal public-transport app for Salamanca that combined mobile clients with backend tooling and a custom ETA algorithm used by the operator. With postgraduate studies in cybersecurity, networking and big data, he blends mobile product sensitivity with deep security and networking knowledge. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic engineer who prefers incremental user value, automation, and measurable process improvement.
