Mark Dong is a senior data scientist and co-founder who blends seven years of hands-on ML engineering, full-stack development, and AI research to build clinically deployable tools in psychiatry and medical imaging. He led development of the world’s first AI-driven depression and anxiety detector and a deep learning MRI-based brain age predictor now used clinically, demonstrating a rare ability to move multimodal omics and imaging research into production. Currently splitting time between scaling Gefyra AI Technologies and a senior data scientist role at Entrix, he completes a PhD in AI for Precision Psychiatry at LMU and has 15 peer-reviewed publications including in JAMA Psychiatry. Equally comfortable in TensorFlow pipelines, cloud deployments and UI/UX-driven apps, he pairs product-minded engineering with academic rigor and even expresses his creative side as a digital artist.
