Top SchoolMark Lapasa is a Kotlin-focused mobile engineer with 12 years of experience building high-quality Android products, from consumer apps with 1M+ downloads to enterprise SDKs. Based in Mountain View, he specializes in architecture, reusable components, and developer-friendly tooling—having led onboarding refactors, created a cross-app media component, and authored automation scripts to safely modify large codebases. He’s shipped native Android apps for phones and tablets that integrate deeply with platform features (Camera, SMS, Play Billing, Calendar, Maps) and has implemented on-device ML and generative AI features to improve monetization and moderation workflows. His work spans both product-focused startups and regulated banking clients, where he designed secure persistence frameworks and CI pipelines to reduce defects and speed delivery. A philosophy BA who translates complex requirements into pragmatic systems, he also documents and diagrams codebases to ease handoffs and long-term maintenance. Mark combines hands-on feature development with a knack for reducing developer friction and risk in large, evolving Android codebases.
