Top SchoolMark Olliver is a Lead Data Platform Architect with 15+ years of experience building secure, scalable data platforms across government, finance, retail and health sectors. He combines hands-on engineering—Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCS, Databricks, Kafka and data-lake/mesh patterns—with empathetic leadership that drives teams, governance and cross-organisational change. Mark has led high-impact programmes from modernising ETL to designing real-time streaming and lakehouse solutions, including greenfield banking platforms and border-security data initiatives. He is comfortable operating at both strategic and implementation levels: setting standards, chairing technical advisory boards, and writing the automation and glue-code that makes platforms reliable. Known for spotting systemic data-silo issues early, he turns audit findings into pragmatic governance and platform improvements that speed decision-making. Based in the UK, he pairs a broad technical toolkit with a people-first approach that consistently delivers resilient, business-focused data solutions.
