Top SchoolMark Perry is a Principal AI Software Engineer based in Queensland, Australia with 13 years of professional experience and a two-decade software career that spans engineering, architecture, and leadership. Currently shaping AI vision and adoption at Suncorp Group, he has progressed through technical and chapter leadership roles there since 2019 after leadership stints at Mastercard and senior engineering roles at Amazon and CoreLogic. He combines hands-on engineering discipline with people leadership—coaching full-stack teams, driving delivery excellence, and translating complex business needs into scalable AI-enabled systems. Comfortable in both enterprise and product-focused environments, he has a track record of moving teams from technical proof-of-concept to production at scale. Mark’s background in information technology from The University of Queensland and early research experience underpin a methodical, research-informed approach to applied AI. An understated strength is his consistency: long-tenured roles across diverse domains suggest he excels at sustaining impact over time rather than chasing short-term wins.
