Top SchoolMark Rudolph is a Staff I Engineer with 15 years of software experience, specializing in full-stack Scala and distributed systems for small to mid-size companies. He has a strong track record building production services and infrastructure—everything from bare-metal Kubernetes clusters and Kafka-backed microservices to customer portals and internal tooling—most recently leading platform work at Carvana. With a PhD-level scientific background and a decade-plus of Linux expertise, he combines rigorous problem-solving with practical engineering trade-offs. Outside of work he runs a maker shop (Evil Lair Studios) designing CNC/laser-cut projects, reflecting a hands-on, systems-minded approach that surfaces in both hardware and software solutions.
