Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolMark Simpson is a pragmatic software engineer with nine years’ experience building embedded and mobile systems, now an MTS Software Development Engineer at AMD. He started from a network-focused Computer Science degree with CCNA/CCNP modules and evolved into a developer passionate about program design, shipping Android location-tracking, IVI, and mobile applications early in his career. At Codethink he broadened his embedded Linux and Qt/C++ expertise across diverse projects, and he brings strong open-source sensibilities to commercial development. Comfortable across C++, Java, C#/.NET (including CF), and system-level Linux work, he pairs hands-on implementation with agile analysis and design. Based in the UK, he has a knack for turning platform-level constraints into reliable, user-facing features. A subtle practical trait: he’s as likely to dig into kernel or build systems as he is to polish the UI experience.
