Top SchoolMark Stillwell is a Principal Software Engineer with 19 years of experience blending site reliability, distributed systems research, and cloud-native production engineering. He has led SRE automation at Google Cloud (GCE VM) and now applies that expertise to large-scale platform challenges at NVIDIA, after a trajectory through Apple/Shazam, Cisco Meraki and academic research at Imperial and INRIA. With a PhD in Computer Science and deep roots in Linux, DevOps and computational complexity, he moves comfortably between rigorous research and pragmatic operational simplicity. He’s known for driving production automation and SLO-focused monitoring while mentoring teams to treat reliability as a product. Based in Stony Stratford, he combines academic rigor with hands-on systems work—a background that includes teaching and research grants in cloud-enhanced systems that few SREs possess.
