Top SchoolMark Theisen is a software engineer with nine years of international experience building IoT and cloud-native applications, currently developing services at SpotHero in Chicago. He blends Java/Spring back-end expertise with AngularJS front-end work and hands-on AWS/Cloud Foundry operations, having led highly available microservice architectures for Industry 4.0 at Bosch. His background in electrical and electronics engineering informs a pragmatic approach to embedded-to-cloud solutions—he’s built real-time monitoring, alerting, and secured reactive systems using technologies like Vert.x, OAuth2, Docker, and Grafana. Comfortable in consulting and technical lead roles, Mark regularly presented customer demos and has rotated through product, firmware, and cloud operations work, giving him a rare cross-disciplinary view of product development and deployment.
