Senior🎓
Top SchoolMark Walton is a Senior Software Architect with 14 years of embedded systems experience and a strong track record of evolving legacy firmware into modern, networked platforms. He designs and mentors teams on multi-processor ARM/Zynq Ultrascale+ systems, Yocto-based Linux distributions, drivers contributed to mainline Linux, and secure boot/signing infrastructures for OTA updates. Mark has led architecture for enclosure management and BMC systems, implemented Redfish/REST APIs and cloud services, and replaced monolithic clients with Electron + React frontends hosted on embedded devices. His background in high-assurance cryptographic products and hands-on hardware bring-up gives him a rare blend of security-first engineering and practical system integration. Based in Portsmouth, UK, he is equally comfortable writing low-level firmware, architecting large-scale data-processing on FPGA pipelines, and shepherding distributed teams across continents.
